Commander Challenge – Official Rules & Points System

Deck Construction Rules Budget Requirement

• Each deck must cost £30 or less, including the commander.
• Basic lands are excluded from the budget. Pricing Method
• Card prices are determined by the lowest price of the cheapest legal version of each card.
• Use CardMarket Low (UK) as the price source.

Infinite Combo Policy
• Decks may contain cards that could form infinite combos.
• Executing any infinite combo during a game results in an immediate match disqualification (0 points).

Points System Core Points Action Points
Win the match +5
Second place +2
Third place +1
Kill a player +2
One-shot kill a player (commander damage or 20+ damage in one turn) +3
Achievement Points Action Points Cast 5 or more spells in a single turn +3
Resolve your commander three or more times in a game +1
Survive combat that would otherwise have been lethal +1
Save another player from lethal +2
Use an opponent’s card to kill another player +2

Match Structure
• Matches are played in 3–4 player pods.
• Each game has a 90-minute time limit.
• When time is called, finish the current turn cycle.
• All players alive at the end of time receive +1 “survive to time” point.
• Total points earned across all rounds determine the event winner.
