About us

We are a venue dedicated to supporting the local gaming community.

We are long-time gamers, and we want to listen to what you have to say. The venue will be used for all types of events, including community and charity groups that would like to use the space. We aim to make accessing the hobby as easy as possible.

We have many 6″ by 4″ gaming tables, available for booking for casual gaming.
Our store is expanding it’s stock weekly.
The cafe has space for general relaxing, or even playing board games from our library.

I have only managed to start this business due to a core group of local gamers who are passionate about their hobby and are willing to support this dream. Because of this, our team has a wide range of expertise. Name a gaming system, and it is probably played by at least one of us. We are all local gamers too, so please say hi and tell us your thoughts about what we can do to improve things for you!

Casual gaming and regular gaming events

We are extremely fortunate to have such an amazing gaming community. Everyone is welcome to come and play on our tables. We have 6″ by 4″ tables as well as tables more suited for board gaming and card gaming. We have an ever-expanding stock of gaming mats and terrain, so it will all be provided in your table hire fee of £5.
We are fortunate to have secured such a large venue, and we will be using this to host our own in-house events, but we also invite anyone to approach us and we would love to host your event. We have players of many different gaming systems on our team, so we will have someone knowledgeable running our regular tournaments and events.

Other events

We will be hosting and running different events, such as beginner firendly “How to get into the Hobby” events, Demos of game systems and painting classes, community second hand model sales, to name a few.
Our community is full of extremely talented people, and if you would like to run a painting class or other session for example, please get in touch, and we would love to work with you.

Ever-expanding range of stock.

Our range of products will be limited to start with, but let us know what you would like us to stock for you, and we will see what we can do! We want to be able to offer to you what you want and be reliable.

We provide barista drink service as well as your usual snacks!

Quality refreshments while you game

One of our main goals is to provide good-quality refreshments for sale. We provide barista-served hot drinks, locally produced sweet goods and your usual expected soft drinks and snacks as well.

We want to connect to local businesses to provide as much food and drink as we can.

We are supplied with baked goods from Studio 28 Patisserie, which is also located in Hoults Yard.
Our coffee is supplied by Cracked Bean Roastery, a CIC in Sunderland.
